This tool features a sharp high-speed steel blade and is built similarly to a normal flat chisel， but with a rounded cutting edge that allows for smoother and softer edges while carving wood. The wooden handle of this excellent chisel is constructed of strong cherry blossom wood and provides a comfortable grip during carving. This high-quality Japanese flat chisel is handcrafted by Michihamono and is useful for finishing and smoothing wood sculptures and backgrounds of relief carving. This tool is perfect for cleaning the rounded corners and edges of your wood. It can also be used to flatten relief wood carving backgrounds with its 18mm wide blade. A range of blade widths are available for this rounded flat chisel (each sold separately).
